As many as 1 in 3 of us have suffered or currently suffer from symptoms of toxic overload! (WHAT?)

These symptoms are our body’s way of telling us something isn’t quite right. Most of the time we seek to treat the symptom, but understanding the root cause can help keep a myriad of these symptoms away for good, restoring us back to optimum health!

Diet, lifestyle and stress release techniques are often great places to start and something a registered NT will be more than happy to help you implement.

Overloading of metabolic pathways results in a disproportionate relationship between the concentration of drug and/or metabolites and dosage (1) in those on medication, which can create a vicious cycle of toxic overload in the body.

Signs can affect all of our different systems, here is an example of the most common;

Digestive:

  • Bitter taste in the mouth
  • Bloating
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhoea
  • Intolerance to fatty foods
  • Tender swollen liver

Immune:

  • Food allergies
  • Food intolerances
  • Skin issues (including acne, eczema and discolouration)
  • Asthma

Hormonal:

  • High stress
  • PMS
  • Trouble losing weight
  • Sugar cravings
  • Depression
  • Anxiety

Nervous System:

  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Poor memory and concentration
  • Brain fog

If any of these symptoms persist, it’s vital you talk to your general practitioner about it. But a diet rich in whole foods, fruits and vegetables, hydration and good sleep hygiene can be key in ridding the body of toxicity. Stay tuned for more information on this.
